Our Guest Speaker is The Rt Hon The Lord Jay of Ewelme GCMG. HM Ambassador to France 1996-2001, then Head of the Diplomatic Service (PUS). He has served on the House of Lords Select Committee on European Affairs.

Members are invited to the Society’s Annual General Meeting, to be followed by a cocktail. Guests are most welcome to attend the AGM and cocktail although, like honorary members, they are not entitled to vote.

​The Franco-British Society’s Book Prize 2016, announced by Cynthia Gamble was awarded jointly to Anne Sebba and John Hardman. After having received the literary award from The Rt Hon Dominic Grieve, the authors said a few words.
