14 March: A debate on the current political situation in France and the UK between The Rt Hon Dominic Grieve and French deputy Alexandre Holroyd. Hosted by Baroness Altmann at The House of Lords.
MAY
17 May: This event hosted at the House of Lords by Baroness Quin, gave us an overview of “The History of women and the vote in France and the UK”, which allowed us to consider the different history in both our countries presented by Baroness Quin and French Senator Joelle Garriaud-Maylam.

3 July: The Franco-British Society arranged a complimentary entry & guided tour (in both French and English) of a few carefully selected French and British galleries exhibiting at the Masterpiece Art Fair in Chelsea.
14 July: Lunch at the Brasserie Zedel with members of the FAFGB to celebrate the 14 Juillet.
SEPTEMBER
- 2-6 September: The Delights of Biarritz, Espelette, Bayonne, Saint Jean de Luz & Hendaye: 5 days trip to France. 22 participants to the Pays Basque on a very successful visit which also saw us renew links with the local Association France-Grande Bretagne.
- 27 September: a dinner with the Association France Grande Bretagne on their visit to London.
OCTOBER
22 October: The Campaign that ended the First World War . A talk by Professor Gary Sheffield - Professor of War Studies – University of Wolverhampton. Other Speakers: Sir Alan Duncan KCMG MP and The Rt Hon Dominic Grieve QC MP. The talks were followed by a reception at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

13 November: Talk in English by Professor Nicholas Hewitt, our FBS Book Prize winner 2017, on Montmartre: A Cultural History at More House. The talk was followed by a lunch by some of the attendees. We much regretted to learn of his death in March of this year 2019.

Andrée's War A true story of bravery and courage in occupied Paris. Francelle Bradford White first learned about her mother's exploits during the Second World War when she was six years old and has been fascinated by her achievements ever since.
