On Wednesday 14th May, the Franco-British Society will be hosting a conference in partnership with l’Institut Georges Pompidou on the theme of: “Georges Pompidou and Edward Heath: Politics and Culture in France and the United Kingdom”

  • Prof Catriona Seth, Marshal Foch Professor, Oxford University,
  • Bénédicte Fichet, conservatrice du patrimoine aux Archives nationales, responsable des archives présidentielles de Georges Pompidou,
  • Xavier Bredin, administrateur du Musée d’art moderne et d’art contemporain (MNAM, Centre Pompidou),
  • Michael McManus, former political secretary to Edward Heath; Trustee,
  • Sir Edward Heath Charitable Foundation,
  • Sir Vernon Bogdanor, Professor of Government, King’s College London; former professor of Government, Oxford University
  • Anthony Teasdale, Visiting Professor, LSE and Columbia University.
 
Discussions will be in both English and French but without translation provided.
